Jewett Automotive Design & Construction completes 2,500 s/f renovations for Commonwealth Chevrolet

Jewett Automotive Design & Construction, a division of Raymond, NH-based Jewett Construction Company, Inc., has completed renovations to Commonwealth Chevrolet. Designed by the team of O'Sullivan Architects and Summit Engineering, the project involved a 2,500 s/f pre-engineered metal building addition to the company's service shop, adding six new service bays to the facility. Work also included heat and the addition of energy-saving insulated metal panel siding, plumbing, roofing, painting, and the installation of overhead doors. This marks the completion of the fifth project Jewett Automotive has undertaken for Commonwealth Motors. In 2011, Jewett completed construction of two new dealerships for the company-a 28,400 s/f Chevrolet dealership and a three-phase renovation/addition to the former Chevy facility into the new Commonwealth Nissan dealership. Earlier this year, Jewett provided interior upgrades both to the Nissan dealership and Commonwealth Honda, and is currently renovating the client's Volkswagen facility. Jewett Automotive Design & Construction specializes in design/build auto dealership facilities, auto dealership additions, auto dealership renovations and auto dealership fit-ups all across New England—completing more than sixty such projects in the last few years. Other repeat clients include such well-known organizations as the Herb Chambers Companies, the Grappone Automotive Group, the Route 44 family of dealerships, Ford of Londonderry and Watertown Ford.
