Konover Props. Corp. changes name to The Simon Konover Company

Simon Konover and the family board of directors of Konover Properties Corporation have changed the company name to The Simon Konover Company and introduced a new corporate logo. According to James Wakim, executive vice president and chief operating officer, "The new corporate brand strengthens the company's ties to Simon Konover and the legacy he has built over the past 50 years." SK Properties Development Corporation, one of two development companies within the organization, has also changed its name. SK Properties' new name, Simon Konover Development Corporation, creates the same direct connection to Simon Konover's distinguished history. Simon Konover first established his real estate business in 1959. Over the past 50 years, his companies have developed, constructed, owned and managed an extensive portfolio of shopping centers, hotels, residential communities, office properties, industrial buildings, mixed use and specialty properties throughout the Midwest and Eastern regions of the United States. In conjunction with the name change, The Simon Konover Company has adopted a new corporate brand. The name change took effect on March 1.
