Konover Residential Corporation recognized by YWCA

The YWCA Hartford Region held its annual meeting in January. Konover Residential Corporation was the recipient of the annual Creating Opportunities Business Partner Award for its commitment to the success of Soromundi Commons.
According to Ardell Wilson, board chair of the YWCA Hartford Region, the Creating Opportunities Award honors those individuals and organizations who have made a significant difference in helping the YWCA achieve its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
"These partners are vital to building a strong foundation and future for women in the Hartford Region," said Wilson. "This is about working together for a better Connecticut."
Konover Residential Corporation was recognized for its work as property manager of Soromundi Commons, a supportive housing community in downtown Hartford. As property manager, the Konover Residential team works closely with residents to ensure they obtain the housing and services they need. In addition, the Konover staff assists extensively in the fiscal administration of the facility, managing grants and other funding programs.
