Krishnamurthy named partner at Linear Retail Properties, LLC

According to Linear Retail Properties, LLC, Deepa Krishnamurthy has been named partner at the retail real estate company. Krishnamurthy joined Linear Retail in 2004 as controller and was promoted to vice president - finance in 2007 and chief financial officer in 2010. As partner and CFO, Krishnamurthy is responsible for overseeing the finance, accounting and human resource functions. Touting Krishnamurthy's many accomplishments, Bill Beckeman, president and CEO said, "Deepa has been an integral part of Linear Retail's success over the past eight years and my partners and I look forward to having her help us chart our path of sustained future growth." Deepa has 20 years of finance and accounting experience, mostly within the real estate and investment industry. Prior to joining Linear Retail, Deepa served as portfolio controller for MacFarlane Urban Realty Company (MURC) in San Francisco, California. There, she was responsible for the accounting, internal audit and financial reporting operations of their real estate portfolio in excess of $500 million. She also assisted with financing and acquisitions. Preceding MURC, she was the Assistant Vice President and Controller at Thornburg Mortgage Inc, a $17 billion mortgage REIT in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Deepa graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Madras, India and a masters degree in Finance with high distinction from Bentley College in Massachusetts. She has also completed the Certified Public Accountants Examination from New York State. Based in Burlington, Mass., Linear Retail is a leading acquirer and operator of retail properties in New England. Linear Retail owns 57 retail properties including convenience-oriented strip shopping centers, specialty storefront retail in select downtown neighborhoods, smaller, well-located centers in dominant retail destination corridors, net leased single tenant retail properties and urban retail condos.
