Eat Cake 4 Breakfast, 26 Wampum Drive - Brewster, MA

Brewster, MA Commercial Realty Advisors negotiated the sale of Eat Cake 4 Breakfast and its associated real estate located at 26 Wampum Dr. Chef Danielle Nettleton passed the keys of the seasonal French patisserie to Mass. siblings Tara, Tori, and TJ Nelson on May 6. The deal was brokered by Brad Kuhrtz and Craig Campbell of Commercial Realty Advisors, who listed the offering in October of 2024.

Founded in 2015 by pastry chef Nettleton, Eat Cake 4 Breakfast quickly earned a reputation as one of Cape Cod’s most sought-after bakery destinations. Known for its signature “Brewster Buns” and high-end French pastries with an American twist, the business has drawn loyal crowds throughout the Cape’s busy summer season. Often selling out by noon and generating lines around the building, the bakery became a staple for locals and tourists alike.

Housed in a 3,328 s/f building constructed in 1995, the bakery occupies a well-situated property in the town’s village center. In 2019, Nettleton transformed 26 Wampum Dr. from a two-story office building into a Parisian-style patisserie. Her renovations included vaulted ceilings, ADA-compliant bathrooms, updated utilities, new plumbing, and a 1,000-gallon grease trap, all of which contributed to more than doubling the property’s value since her purchase.

Tara, Tori, and TJ Nelson, the new owners of Eat Cake 4 Breakfast, come from a close-knit, entrepreneurial family in Medway, Massachusetts. Together with their parents, they launched and grew the Massachusetts franchise of Cousins Maine Lobster, gaining valuable experience in high-volume food service and hospitality. With a deep appreciation for quality ingredients, branding, and community, the trio is well-prepared to carry on the legacy of founder Nettleton. In a heartfelt message shared on the bakery’s social media, they expressed gratitude for Danielle’s creative vision and announced plans to reopen in June, inviting loyal customers and new guests alike.

This sale underscores the ongoing demand for well-established, high-traffic food service businesses on Cape Cod, especially those that include real estate.
