Wells, ME Construction on the new 45,000 s/f Avita Memory Care Center is progressing ahead of schedule. Landry/French Construction, construction manager on the new facility said that the progress is a result of the mild winter conditions and the quality subcontractors on the project. The single-story, wood-framed building is being built on a parcel next to York Hospital and Wells High School and will include 60 resident rooms (70-beds). The project is estimated to be several weeks ahead of schedule.
The project is a joint venture between Sandy River Company and The Northbridge Companies. Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2016. The architect is Gawron Turgeon.
