The Rhode Island Association of Realtors (RIAR) installed their 2009 slate of officers at the 2nd annual installation dinner and meeting. Paul Leys, CRB, CRS, GRI, of Gustave White Sotheby's International Realty in Newport was named 2009 president.
Licensed since 1988 and co-owner of Gustave White since 2000, Leys is an appraiser and licensed auctioneer. He served as the 2008 treasurer of RIAR. He is also a past president of the Newport County Board and was chosen as Newport's Realtor of the Year in 1999.
Other 2009 officers installed were: president elect - Karl Martone of Re/Max Properties; vice president - Michael Saccoccio of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage ; treasurer - Stephen Antoni of Re/Max Professionals; secretary - Victoria Doran of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage; and immediate past president, Rob Scaralia, Re/Max 1st Choice.
