Loughlin named principal of BSC Group

BSC Group's manager of transportation services, Thomas Loughlin, PE, has been promoted to principal, continuing in his key role of serving the Commonwealth's transportation agencies and municipalities. Loughlin, a former director of Statewide Highway Operations for the Mass. Department of Transportation (MassDOT), has more than 30 years of experience and leads BSC Group's transportation design projects with an emphasis on serving the public sector. "In addition to serving key clients in Brockton and Lexington and at MassDOT, Tom has generously shared his knowledge and expertise with BSC project managers and senior staff working on land development and energy utility projects as well as with our information technology team within our sister firm Geonetics," said BSC Group's president Charlie Kalauskas. "Tom's promotion to principal reflects his deep commitment to the overall success of BSC Group in serving clients in each of our firm's major market areas and making the company a better place to work." Loughlin earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Lowell. He is active in several industry groups including the American Counci I of Engineering Companies of Mass., the American Public Works Association, as well as the Mass. Highway Association, and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
