Lynn, MA Lynn Community Health Center and BOND Building Construction, a subsidiary of leading Northeast construction management firm BOND, joined project partners, elected officials, and community stakeholders to celebrate the topping off of the Hayes Building expansion at 269 Union St., marking a major construction milestone for the Lynn Health and Wellness Campus.
The building expansion and redesign project will expand Lynn Community Health Center by 55,000 s/f and upgrade the patient, staff and visitor experience across the health center’s downtown Lynn campus. The project includes a fourth-floor addition for OB/GYN and Pediatrics departments, lobby renovations, an additional elevator, ADA upgrades throughout the health center, a new rooftop terrace, along with sidewalk and streetscape improvements.
The transformed Hayes Building is designed to help the health center accommodate more patient access, support more providers and staff, facilitate collaborative care and incorporate the latest technology for streamlined operations and excellent service.
“This milestone is a powerful reminder that we’re not just expanding a building; we’re investing in the future of healthcare in Lynn,” said Brenda Rodriguez, LCHC CEO. “We’re creating more space to care for our community, but we’re also creating an environment that supports collaboration, innovation, and a better experience for patients and staff. I am grateful for the partnership of the project team, especially Bond, isgenuity, and CSL, as well as the support of our local, state and elected officials.”
Lynn Community Health Center is the state’s second-largest health center, serving more than 46,000 patients annually. The expanded and redesigned Hayes Building will help create a more coordinated patient experience across the Lynn Health and Wellness Campus, supporting timely visits, clearer care plans and better access for patients who may need multiple services during one visit.
“BOND deeply values our partnership with Lynn Community Health Center and the opportunity to support a project that will have measurable and longstanding positive impacts on the community,” said Frank Hayes, president of BOND Building Construction. “The topping off is a testament to the collaboration, planning, and dedication of our entire construction team, especially as this work continues in an active healthcare environment.”
The building expansion and redesign project began in April 2026, and is scheduled for completion in November 2027. Project partners include isgenuity as the architect and CSL Consulting as the project manager.
Jason Nicastro, isgenuity principal, said, “Proud to be a part of today’s celebrations at Lynn Community Health Center. Our partnership with the community and the Health Center over the past 15 years has culminated in this meaningful expansion. We look forward to the future as they continue to thrive in their commitment to providing exceptional healthcare.”
