Mack-Cali receives two awards from Southern Connecticut BOMA

February 17, 2010 - Connecticut
According to Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, 40 Richards Ave., a class A office building, has received The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) award from the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). In addition, the chapter has named Mack-Cali's Robert Ostaszewski the 2009 Engineer of the Year.
The TOBY award is based on excellence in office building management, with all facets of a property's operations evaluated, including building maintenance, operational efficiency, tenant retention, emergency preparedness, and community impact.

The Engineer of the Year award is based on experience, commitment, teamwork, level of responsibility, and number of properties and square footage managed, among other criteria. Robert Ostaszewski is the building engineer at Mack-Cali's Soundview Plaza, located at 1266 East Main St. in Stamford, which was a recipient of the TOBY award in 2008.
The awards were presented at the BOMA Chapter's Annual TOBY Awards Gala on October 1 at The Inn at Longshore in Westport.
James Bell, vice president of property management, who accepted the TOBY award on behalf of Mack-Cali, commented, "These awards result from Mack-Cali's commitment to providing tenants with the superior work environments in which they can prosper. We are particularly pleased to have Robert's work recognized by BOMA, as he is an asset to Soundview Plaza and the Mack-Cali organization."
