Waterbury, VT The Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors congratulates EnviroVantage for receiving the Merit Award at the 23rd annual Excellence in Construction Awards for their outstanding work on the Waterbury State Office Complex located in Waterbury, VT.

The Merit Award recognizes the overall excellence in project execution, craftsmanship, safety, innovative elements and challenges, and client satisfaction. EnviroVantage took home the Merit Award, representing work that stands above the rest, for its work on the Waterbury State Office Complex. The Vermont Department of Building Services trumpets the overall project as “the largest building project in Vermont history.” Prior to any abatement work, the state of Vermont prioritized that all fragile, intricate, historical trim from the 3-story building had to be removed, cleaned, catalogued for condition and location in the building, and wrapped and preserved for reinstallation. The careful removal of this unique woodwork proved to be one of the highest and hardest challenges. The depth of this project was massive. Each floor produced over 1,000 catalogued pieces that had to be fully vetted and stored for later reinstallation. This vast collection of over 3,000 pieces proved to be the largest ever “save & store” project in the history of EnviroVantage.

The Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors is the largest construction trade association in the Commonwealth, representing some 400 local general contractor, subcontractor, and supplier and associate companies.  These companies employ more than 20,000 workers throughout Massachusetts.
