Newton Centre, MA The Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors congratulates Kaplan Construction for receiving the Merit, Green and Safety Awards at the 23rd annual Excellence in Construction Awards for their outstanding work on the Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute located in Newton Centre, Mass.

The Merit Award recognizes the overall excellence in project execution, craftsmanship, safety, innovative elements and challenges, and client satisfaction. Kaplan Construction took home the Merit Award, representing work that stands above the rest, for its work on the Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute, which included renovation, restoration, and expansion of an existing 3-story, 12,540 s/f, mid-19th century stone and wood building. Work also included masonry & stone reconstruction, structural upgrades, all new MEP and life safety systems, new research library, classrooms, administrative offices, seminar and meeting rooms, expanded basement, and a lounge and kitchen. The building is now thriving and provides educational space for its community of psychoanalysts, post-graduate students, and faculty.
