Maugel completes imaging suite for
UMass Memorial in Milford

Milford, MA Maugel DeStefano Architects has completed a design-build project with F.W. Madigan at UMass Memorial in Milford. The scope included the renovation of a partially occupied 4,900 s/f space into an outpatient vascular imaging suite. The updates included a new c-arm procedure room and recovery bays; stress test, echo and vascular exam rooms; updated finishes; and a more convenient and comfortable reception and waiting room for patients.

“Maugel DeStefano Architects and F.W. Madigan worked hand-in-hand with the staff at UMass Memorial in Milford to ensure the new imaging suite exceeded UMass Memorial Milford’s expectations and minimized disruption to staff,” said architect Colby Cavanagh, healthcare and sciences studio leader at Maugel DeStefano Architects. “We were pleased that the team’s diligence through several iterations of design development and value engineering exercises realized cost savings for the hospital.”

Since 2016, Maugel DeStefano Architects has designed hospital improvements and medical office suites at campuses within the UMass Memorial Health system. Past projects include numerous modernization projects at UMass Memorial-Marlborough Hospital in Marlborough, Mass., including upgrades to the ICU nurse station and family waiting areas, and the medical office suite for UMass Memorial Medical Group in Harvard, Mass.
