McEvoy and Conrad of The Conrad Group negotiate $21.5m sale of 211 units in 8 buildings

The Conrad Group negotiated Finell RT's sale of Colonial Towers and South Shore Manor Apartments. Located on the north and south sides of Middle St., the two complexes total 211 units in 8 buildings. Built in the 1970s, the properties are located close to Rte. 3 and within walking distance to area retail and public transportation. According to Jim McEvoy, senior vice president of The Conrad Group, "Both Colonial Towers and South Shore Manor are well known on the south shore as not only conveniently located, but also as a high quality example of apartment living. They are well maintained and have recently undergone extensive renovations both inside and out." The new owners, AvalonBay Communities Investment Fund have acquired over 100 communities since 1994. They own several apartment communities nearby including Avalon Ledges in Weymouth. McEvoy was assisted by Robert Conrad, president of The Conrad Group. The firm represented both parties in this transaction. According to the Norfolk Registry of Deeds, the sale price was $21.5 million.
