Narragansett, RI Galen McGovern has joined Residential Properties Ltd.

After graduating with a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Natural Resources Science, she worked in the environmental field for over 20 years, concentrating in water quality and wastewater. She is a licensed septic inspector for both conventional and advanced septic systems. This unique experience gives her valuable insight into homes served by wells and septic systems.

“I think my background helps me immensely in researching homes. Not only do I know my way around a town hall, but I also have many references at my disposal for gleaning information on wells, septic systems, flood zones, and the like. These are typically high ticket items so I make sure I research these areas thoroughly. I also provide my clients with whatever referrals they need for home maintenance issues.”

She chose to join RPL in order to take her business to the next level but has been pleasantly surprised at the number of benefits available to her

While she grew up in Maryland, Rhode Island has been her home for over 30 years. McGovern currently lives in Wakefield with her family and has been a resident of South County since she attended graduate school at the University of Rhode Island. Her family has ties to RI going back to the 1930s and has a long tradition of vacationing in Matunuck.
