Nahigian of Auburndale Realty named to SIOR Legacy Circle

Boston, MA Rob Nahigian, FRICS, SIOR, CRE, MCR of Auburndale Realty Co, Newton, Mass. was recently named at the SIOR Fall Convention as the newest member of its Legacy Circle. The announcement was made at the Sheraton Times Square Hotel on October 20, where the SIOR 2016 Fall World Conference was being held. The conference drew a record attendance of 1,100 members and the announcement was made in the Metropolitan Ballroom at the opening session with Rudy Giuliani as the keynote speaker.

Admission to the Legacy Circle is for members who have served 30 years or more in the SIOR organization. Nahigian was admitted in May, 1986 as a member of the Society of Industrial Realtors prior to the expansion of the organization. Nahigian was congratulated by Allen Gump, National SIOR president and later by Giuliani.

Nahigian has served in many capacities over the years including: chapter president, chapter board of directors, national boston convention co-chair, national chair of education, faculty and education executive committees, northeast regional vice-president, national board of directors, national nominating committee, national budget & finance, national vice-chair of designation courses and faculty, national instructor and other positions.

He is currently serving on the national communications & branding committee, national faculty and instructor committee and an education task force. 

SIOR was formed at the request of the US War Department (now the Dept. of Defense) in 1941 and is the most elite professional designation for office and industrial real estate brokers. There are 3,000 designees.
