Maura Moffatt

Newton, MA National Development has appointed Maura Moffatt as senior vice president and director of asset management. Moffatt brings decades of experience across multiple property types, with proven leadership in asset management, portfolio optimization, and strategic operations.

In her capacity as senior vice president & director of asset management, Moffatt will be responsible for driving the performance and maximizing the value of the firm’s diverse portfolio of real estate assets. She will be instrumental in strategic initiatives, strengthening relationships with key operating and institutional partners, and optimizing returns across the firm’s assets – advancing National Development’s long-term vision while ensuring operational excellence.

Moffatt began her career as a commercial real estate lawyer at Goodwin Procter, advising a wide range of clients on acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financings. That foundation in real estate capital markets led to senior roles in asset and transaction management at both institutional and entrepreneurial organizations, including The Fidelity Real Estate Group and Synergy Investments.

“I am thrilled to join a company with an exceptional track record of excellence and impact in the region,” said Moffatt.

“National Development has delivered remarkable results in the communities in which it operates, and I am excited to work alongside such a talented team to build on that success. In my role leading asset management, I look forward to optimizing portfolio performance, driving strategic growth, and creating long-term value for our investors, tenants, and communities.”

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Moffatt has long been engaged in the real estate community, with prior involvement in organizations such as the Urban Land Institute, the Board of Directors of NAIOP Massachusetts, the Real Estate Finance Association of Greater Boston, the Commercial Women in Real Estate, and the Women in Real Estate Network.

“Maura’s extensive expertise in asset management combined with her strategic mindset make her an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” said Andrew Gallinaro, chief investment officer at National Development. “Her proven ability to drive operational efficiency and enhance portfolio value aligns perfectly with our goals for growth and performance.”
