New England SIOR Chapter holds annual Golf Outing at Granite Links

The New England SIOR Chapter hosted its 16th annual Golf Outing on Thursday, May 26 at Granite Links Golf Club located on Quarry Hills Dr. The T-time was at noon with box lunches and drinks provided. Immediately following the tournament, the SIOR members and invited guests gathered for the group and individual golf awards. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served. This was the first time the SIOR Chapter has held the event at this club. When first opened, Granite Links was voted "Top Ten Best New Upscale Golf Course in the Country" by Golf Digest and more recently was named to this publication's list of "100 Greatest Golf Courses in America!" where the public can play. Granite Links is a private membership club that also provides a limited level of non-member access. The clubhouse is a shingled Nantucket-style building that sits 300 ft. above sea level with outdoor balconies above a water-filled quarry overlooking the 18th green. The Members Only Grille and locker rooms are located here along with the very popular Tavern Restaurant, which is open to non-members and SIOR members had access to the Clubhouse. The chapter wants to thank Vantage Builders, Inc. for again sponsoring this event and Don Mancini, SIOR for organizing this event.
