The New England SIOR Chapter members finished 2010 with a number of major advisory and transactional assignments. Corporate America and regional tenants indicated that the SIORs are the "premier" brokers in the commercial/industrial New England real estate markets whom they entrust for expert knowledge and skills. The end of 2010 deals totaled approximately 362,470 s/f of commercial real estate valued at approximately $16,747,650. Congratulations to all the New England SIOR members in these recessionary times!
* Jim Boudrot, SIOR, NAI Hunneman Commercial brokered a new lease of 34,830 s/f of office space to Ipswitch Inc. at 83 Hartwell Ave., Lexington. Boudrot represented Ipswich. He also teamed up with Mike McCarthy, SIOR Candidate in an office lease of 7,047 s/f to Marine Polymer Technologies, Inc. at 24 NEEP, Burlington. Boudrot along with Evan Gallagher, SIOR Candidate represented ITT Educational Services in its lease of 19,995 s/f of office space at 200 Ballardvale St., Wilmington.
* Mike McCarthy, SIOR Candidate, NAI Hunnemand Commercial leased 100,000 s/f of industrial space at 89 Cross St., Holliston. McCarthy represented the tenant, Electronics Recyclers International. He also represented Terrafugia in its lease of 18,394 s/f of office space at 23 Rainin Rd., Woburn.
* Greg Hastings, SIOR, NAI/Dunham Group represented Surveillance Specialties in its lease of 4,800 s/f of industrial space at 4 Thomas Dr., Westbrook, Me. Hastings also leased 15,050 s/f of warehouse space to Maine Medical Center at 75 St. James St., Portland, Me. Hastings and Tom Dunham, SIOR also leased 20,000 s/f of warehouse space to Portland Winnelson at 177 Cash St., S. Portland, Me. Hastings leased another 5,000 s/f of warehouse space to Global Educational Systems at 111 Pine Tree Industrial Pkwy., Portland, Me. He leased 3,000 s/f of industrial space to The Turf Doctor at 26 Evergreen Dr., Portland, Me. and leased 9,600 s/f of mixed-use space at 7 Glasgow Rd., Scarborough, Me. to Partners for World Health. Hastings also leased 5,250 s/f of industrial space to Sea Salt LLC at 64 Industrial Park Rd., Saco, Me. He teamed up with Drew Sigfridson, SIOR, CBRE/Boulos on a sublease of 125,000 s/f of manufacturing space at 90 Spencer Dr., Portland, Me.
* Tom Moulton, SIOR, NAI Dunham leased 2,300 s/f of mixed-use pace at 68 Mussey Rd., Scarborough, Me. to Riverside Builders. Moulton also teamed up with Tony McDonald, SIOR, CBRE/Boulos and sold The Deering Building at Northport Business Park, a 32,500 s/f office building in Portland, Me. from LL Bean. Moulton also leased 1,500 s/f of office space at 496 Congress St., Portland, Me. to Claesen's USA.
* Frank O'Connor, SIOR, NAI Dunham leased 3,032 s/f of retail/office space at 383 US Rte. 1, Scarborough, Me. to Northeast Bank.
* Jeremy Freid, SIOR, BRA represented Maverick Integration for a 3,500 s/f office lease at 150 Bear Hill Rd., Waltham. Freid also represented Wrapsol, LLC with an office lease of 14,400 s/f at 55 North St., Canton. He also completed 7,100 s/f leases with the following companies: First Notice (Needham) and The Hair Club For Men (Braintree). Freid also represented KS Partners at 233 Needham St., Newton with Kline and Sanders.
* Tom Sweeney, SIOR, Sweeney RE & Appraisal completed the sale of 40 Western Industrial Dr., Cranston, R.I. The building is 15,000 s/f of warehouse space on 2.85 acres and sold for $1 million.
* George Paskalis, SIOR, MG Commercial represented the landlord in a lease to New Energy Alliance for 44,000 s/f of industrial space at 115 Lydia Ann Dr., Smithfield, R.I.
* Mike Edward, SIOR, formerly of Lincoln Property, represented a subtenant Brafton, Inc. in its lease of 12,572 s/f at One Winthrop Sq., Boston.
* Tom Farrelly, SIOR, Cushman & Wakefield, NH completed a lease at the Bank of America Building, Manchester, N.H. for Farley White Manchester LLC to Renesys for 3,600 s/f.
