The New England SIOR Chapter members during the fall of 2010 completed a number of major advisory and transactional assignments. Corporate America and regional tenants indicated that the SIORs are the "premier" brokers in the commercial/industrial New England real estate markets whom they entrust for expert knowledge and skills. The fall 2010 deals totaled approximately 523,814 s/f of commercial real estate valued at approximately $23,763,725. Congratulations to all the New England SIOR members in these recessionary times!
* Tony McDonald, SIOR of CBRE/Boulos Co. sold a 2,932 s/f building at 45 Mechanic St. in Camden, Me. to Michael and Lisa Davee from Knox Mill 2 LLC. McDonald also brokered the lease renewal to FairPoint Communications at 5 Davis Farm Rd., Portland for 80,683 s/f.
* Greg Hastings, SIOR of NAI/The Dunham Group represented New England Horticulture Supply in its lease of 3,904 s/f of warehouse and office space at 125 John Roberts Rd. in So. Portland, Me. Hastings also leased 4,756 s/f of retail space at 72 Cove St., Portland from Sleepy Hollow Development to Portland Power Yoga. Hastings also leased 15,920 s/f of mixed-use space at 9 Johnson Rd., Portland, Me. to EastPoint Christian Church. He also leased 4,800 s/f of mixed-use space to Surveillance Specialties at 4 Thomas Dr., Westbrook, Me. from Millennium Development. Hastings represented Rambler's Way Farm in its lease of 14,737 s/f of distribution space at 84 Industrial Park Rd., Saco, Me.
* Tom Moulton, SIOR of NAI Dunham sold 333 Gray Rd., Portland, Me. to 333 Gray Rd. LLC from Gadco LLC, a 4,500 s/f mixed-use building. Moulton also leased 3,532 s/f of office space at 2 Monument Sq., Portland to Harpswell Capital Management.
* Drew Sigfridson, SIOR of CBRE/Boulos leased 4,868 s/f of office space at 245 Commercial St. in Portland, Me. to FL Putnam Investment Management Co. from Casco View Holdings.
* Jim Elock, SIOR of Meredith & Grew leased 9,000 s/f at 300 Crown Colony in Quincy from Campanelli Co. to Forsythe Solutions Group, Shannon Law Associates and Transition Solutions. Elcock also represented Atlas Venture in its lease of 16,350 s/f to Davenport Building, Cambridge for its new headquarters location.
* Jeremy Freid, SIOR of BRA represented First Notice Systems in its sublease of 3,175 s/f of office space at 140 Kendrick St., Needham. Freid also represented Hearthstone Alzheimer Care with its corporate relocation for 4,453 s/f at 130 New Boston St., Woburn.
* Neil Amper, SIOR, formerly of Rodman RE, leased 5,400 s/f of flex space at 24 Minnesota Ave., Warwick, R.I. to Halsted Communications.
* George Paskalis, SIOR of MG Commercial sold the former WR Cobb Co. facility at 850 Wellington Ave., Cranston, R.I. to Pullano Realty LLC. The industrial building is 29,675 s/f and sold for $1.275 million. Paskalis also represented Umicore in its lease of 40,000 s/f of manufacturing space at 527 Pleasant St., Attleboro.
* Mike McCarthy, SIOR Candidate of NAI Hunneman represented Terrafugia in its lease of 18,394 s/f of office and manufacturing space at 23 Rainin Rd., Woburn. McCarthy also leased 47,600 s/f of office and manufacturing space at 11 State St., Woburn to Resin Design and to Lifeline Ambulance.
* Peter Hayes, SIOR of Hayes & Sherry leased 8,544 s/f of office space with DeWolf Chemical at 300 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, R.I.
* Jim Boudrot, SIOR, Evan Gallagher, SIOR Candidate and Mike McCarthy, SIOR Candidate of NAI Hunneman brokered 22,000 s/f of new office and industrial leases to Global Mail Express at 230 Ballardvale St., Wilmington and Electrolytic Ozone at 66 Concord Rd., Wilmington.
* Tom Sweeney, SIOR, formerly of Rodman RE, represented the buyer, Three Buoys Realty LLC, in its purchase of a 10,430 s/f industrial steel frame building for $540,000 at 16 Peckham Dr., Bristol, R.I.
* Greg Klemmer, SIOR of Klemmer Associates brokered the sale of the 13,400 s/f office building at 7 First Ave., Peabody to North Shore Plastic Surgery for $1.6 million.
* Garry Holmes, SIOR of RW Holmes completed the sale of 2 Cabot Rd., Hudson to Cabot Woods LLC for $3.875 million, an office/R&D building of 147,000 s/f.
* Mike Giutari, SIOR of MG Commercial represented the Virtus Group in a 4,111 s/f office lease in Providence, R.I.
* Gerry Surprenent, SIOR of MG Commercial leased 3,600 s/f of office space to The Hershey Co. at 1300 Highland Corp. Park, Cumberland, R.I. Surprenent also sold an 11.7 acre parcel at 553 So. Washington St., No. Attleboro to Boch Attleboro LLC.
