Bob Nickerson, Conway Commercial

The area branch of the Conway Commercial Connection (CCC) has welcomed Bob Nickerson, a former bank president and owner of a Cape Cod commercial mortgage brokerage company, to its growing team. He brings more than 50 years of experience in the banking and commercial financing arenas to his Conway Country post.
"I'm planning to reach out to businesses and industries throughout the Cape to expand our sales and leasing inventory," said Nickerson. "I have known and admired Jack Conway personally for many years, and I'm thrilled to join his company."
Nickerson left his position as president of the Winchester Savings Bank in 1988 to open his own mortgage brokerage firm, with his sons Douglas and Richard.
"During the 20 years we ran our business, we placed numerous commercial loans on behalf of our clients," he said. "We obtained financing for multifamily, multi and single tenant office, retail, industrial, and health care related real estate transactions. This background will help me greatly as a commercial sales agent. I understand the needs of business owners, and I know how to represent them."
Chairman Jack Conway was happy to welcome Nickerson to his Hyannis Commercial Connection team. "Bob has been a leader in the banking services of Massachusetts," said Conway. "And we're thrilled that he is bringing his high level of knowledge and expertise to our company."
Nickerson is a former president of the Massachusetts League of Community Banks, former corporator of Bridgewater Savings Bank and is a past director of the Savings Bank Deposit Insurance Fund, the Cooperative Central Bank, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.
