Niland joins Shawmut Design and Construction as senior project manager

Shawmut Design and Construction has hired Jeffrey Niland as senior project manager in the company's West Springfield office. In his role, Niland will oversee the management of large and complex construction projects for educational, institutional, and commercial clients. "I was drawn to Shawmut for its reputation and impressive client roster," said Niland. "I am looking forward to getting started on some exciting projects in both Western Mass. and Conn." Prior to joining Shawmut, Niland was a project manager for several other leading New England contractors and worked on renovations and new construction for public and private educational facilities. Niland is 30-hour OSHA Trained and graduated from the University of Scranton with a B.S. in Computer Science. "Jeffrey's twenty years of experience in the industry is going to be a great asset to the Shawmut team," said Michael Kearns, project executive and regional manager. "He has already brought a fresh perspective to the projects he's managing." The West Springfield office is currently working on projects at Greenfield High School, UMass Lowell, and College of the Holy Cross.
