North Branch awarded Somersworth High School career technical center contract

Somersworth, NH North Branch Construction has been awarded the contract to complete renovations to the Somersworth High School Career Technical Center (CTC). Construction will include a 53,000 s/f interior renovation of the CTC built in the mid-1980s as an addition to Somersworth High School.

The renovations are intended to provide the CTC with a new cutting edge facility. Program spaces to be renovated include the automotive lab, culinary kitchen, graphic design, engineering, building trades, broadcasting studio, marketing, digital media, medical assisting, and administration offices. The removal of an area of the 2nd floor structure will allow space for a new black box theater. Exterior site modifications include the demolition of an existing greenhouse to provide expanded parking and exterior work space for building trades and auto classes.

A bulk of the work will take place during the school’s summer break. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of August. Design for the project is provided by Banwell Architects.
