North Branch Construction, Inc. celebrates 55th anniversary

September 05, 2013 - Northern New England
North Branch Construction, Inc. of Concord celebrated its fifty-fifth year in business. Since its founding in 1958, North Branch has become one of New Hampshire's largest construction firms. The company that started out as an agricultural building and small residential constructor quickly advanced to large commercial projects and high-end residences. This full-service construction manager, design/builder, and general contractor now has well over half a century of experience with institutional, commercial, industrial, municipal, high-end residential, multi-unit housing, medical, office, and warehouse projects - to name a few. North Branch's expertise with historic renovations is top-notch winning several awards for projects across New Hampshire.
In addition to preserving New Hampshire's treasured history, North Branch has been on the forefront of sustainable construction practices to ensure a greener future for this state. When it comes to environmental responsibility, North Branch's commitment to energy efficiency is second to none. North Branch began its EPA Energy Star partnership in 1997 - the first New Hampshire-based general contractor to be recognized as an Energy Star Partner - and has since built over 175 Energy Star qualified residential units. The firm is also a member of the U.S. Green Building Council with four LEED Accredited Professionals on staff. Not only does North Branch build sustainable buildings for its clients, they also designed and built a USGBC Silver Level LEED and Energy Star Certified office for themselves located on Old Turnpike Road in Concord.
North Branch's level of commitment to sustainability is matched by its unwavering dedication to jobsite safety practices. The firm has worked hard to raise the bar for safety responsibility with their award-winning safety program that includes obtaining OSHA 30 Hour Construction Training for all project managers and superintendents as well as implementing strict jobsite policies such as the policy that requires all North Branch personnel to wear high-visibility safety shirts and vests at all times while on the jobsite. Many subcontractors who are familiar with North Branch's high-visibility clothing have adopted this policy as well, adding to the overall jobsite safety. North Branch has developed a safety fine program to ensure that their projects are always operating safely. Repeat safety violations by any workers on a North Branch jobsite (including North Branch's own employees) are subject to safety fines which are donated at the end of each year to the non-profit charities and organizations that they work with.
Inspired to give back to the cities and towns that have kept the company in business for so many years, North Branch maintains time-honored customer and community service values, while providing a level of value, quality and service that is unrivaled in the construction industry.
