Northstar Project & Real Estate Services promotes Hogan to shareholder

Cambridge, MA Northstar, a real estate services firm providing project management, development management, and advisory services, has promoted Jim Hogan to shareholder. 

Hogan joined Northstar in 2017 and has over 14 years of senior-level project management experience in the commercial building design and construction industry. His expertise includes ground-up office, laboratory, residential projects, and office tenant improvement projects. At Northstar, he has completed a 17-story ground-up mixed-use office tower in Kendall Sq., the renovation of the MBTA Kendall Sq./MIT MBTA Headhouse, provided equity advisory services for ground-up residential developments on the East Coast, a three-story ground-up lab project in Somerville, office renovations for a pharmaceutical client, and preconstruction services on a multi-tower air rights project in Boston. 

Before joining Northstar, Hogan worked as a project engineer at McNamara Salvia Structural Engineers. He holds both a master of science in structural engineering and a bachelor of science in civil and environmental engineering from WPI. Jim currently serves as chairman of the Wakefield Planning Board. He is also a Registered Professional Structural Engineer (PE) in the state of Mass.
