NOW Communities and Union Studio Architecture & Community Design break ground on Emerson Green - homes being sold by Knox team at William Raveis

Devens, MA Emerson Green is a new residential neighborhood located in Devens. The first phase, which broke ground in mid-October, features 18 homes. Future construction will bring the total of homes in the development to 124. Sales of the homes began on November 7 and the first residents are expected to move into their new homes in Spring 2016.

Emerson Green’s development team of NOW Communities and Union Studio Architecture & Community Design are recognized experts in the creation of new traditional communities that offer exemplary sustainable design features. The team has received multiple national awards including the National Association of Homebuilders’ “Community of the Year,” Builder Magazine’s “Project of the Year,” and Professional Builder Magazine’s “Project of the Year.” The team completed the “Net Zero possible” Concord Riverwalk community in West Concord, Mass. in 2013.

The Knox Real Estate team from William Raveis Real Estate will serve as the sales team for the project.

Emerson Green has been designed to reflect the principles of smart, connected community living through pedestrian-friendly streets, ample green space, and proximity to hiking trails, ponds, and other recreational amenities. With a mixture of single-family homes ranging from 1,500 s/f to 1,930 s/f, and duplexes under 1,400 s/f, Emerson Green is designed attract a wide range of residents. The variety of unit sizes and price points will make for an inclusive community that welcomes individuals from a diversity of backgrounds and lifestyles. Emerson Green is the first major new residential development to be built in Devens, a former Army base that MassDevelopment has redeveloped as a mixed-use community and regional economic hub.

School-aged children living in Emerson Green can attend the Town of Harvard’s highly rated public school system, or the Parker Charter School in Devens. Nearby employers include a growing list of companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson Matthey Pharma Services, Nypro, and New England Studios.

Emerson Green is located two miles north of Route 2 and offers easy access to Route 495. Residents can be in downtown Boston within an hour. The restaurants, museums, and shopping opportunities found in Leominster, Concord, and Worcester are less than 30 minutes away. Emerson Green is also conveniently located less than two miles from the recently upgraded Fitchburg-South Acton Commuter Rail line.
