Richard Poore, president of North Shore Resorts, Inc., has decided to retire from the motel business and sell the 23-unit Whittier Motel and 40-seat restaurant with inn keeper's full pouring liquor license at public auction. He has retained Paul McInnis, Inc. Auctioneer to sell the property on Wednesday, December 8th at 11 a.m., on-site at the motel.
The property is located at the intersection of Rte. 1A and 133, and totals 1.1 acres and 950 ft. of frontage with two curb cuts. It is serviced by municipal water and sewer and is in the town's Highway Business (HB) Zone allowing for many alternative uses such as retail, restaurant, banks, professional offices and medical clinics. The property is being advertised to sell at or above a minimum opening bid of $500,000. The town assesses the property at $864,900.

The auctioneer will be conducting property inspections on Saturday, December 4th.
Prospective bidders will need $25,000 in certified funds to bid at the auction.
