PK Rumford LLC signs Rumford Dance to 2,500 s/f at Rumford Center

According to PK Rumford LLC, the Rumford Dance Theatre has opened their new dance center at the Rumford Center, located at 20 Newman Ave. Rumford Dance Theatre moved into building 4 which totals 2,500 s/f. The post and beam structure was the first building developed on the site for Rumford Chemical Works in 1868. PK Rumford, developers of the Rumford Center project, is a partnership of the Peregrine Group LLC and Kirkbrae Development Corp. Peregrine Group is a real estate development and advisory investment firm specializing in hospitality, residential and commercial development. Kirkbrae Development Corp. is an independently owned and operated firm. Kirkbrae specialize in both residential and commercial sales, rentals and property management. Rumford Dance Theatre is a performance studio which offers classes in all styles of dance, ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, irish step, musical theatre, as well as an acting program for youth and adults. The Studio has a Blackbox Theatre space which will offer performances to small audiences throughout the year. Ballet Rumford is in residence, a pre-professional Ballet Company. White Rover Theatre Ensemble (WRTE) is also in residence at the center offering youth the opportunity to create theatre pieces for local audiences. They are currently developing several new programs which will be housed in the studio as well.
