Planet Fitness opens 18,000 s/f gym at Galaxy Development's Dayville Four Corners Shopping Center

Planet Fitness has opened a new 18,000 s/f gym at Dayville Four Corners Shopping Center on Rte. 101. The property is owned by Galaxy Development of Auburn, Mass. and has undergone significant renovation over the past several years. The rapidly growing fitness chain ideally fit into the end cap space and designed an attractive corner entry to take advantage of a large parking field on the side of the center. Planet Fitness joins national retailers Dollar Tree and Aldi at this 80,000 s/f center located directly off exit 93 of I-395. With the new Kohl's opened across the street less than a year ago, and a new Dollar General under construction as well, the Dayville market has not stopped its growth over the last five years since Killingly Commons was completed which is anchored by Stop & Shop, Target, Lowes, Michaels, Staples, Pub 99 and many more national tenants. The Dayville market has become the regional retail trade area for the entire northeast corner of the state with new construction constantly occurring here year after year. Other tenants located at this intersection include Walgreens, Dunkin Donuts, Shell, Gulf all of which are less than 5 years old, and a Burger King. Dayville Four Corners still has an end cap and some in line space available, as well as a pad site at the signalized intersection of Rte. 101 and Rte. 12 which has well over 20,000 cars per day.
