Press and Schaffer of Press/Cuozzo arrange $10 million sale of 80,000 s/f

Hamden, CT Stephen Press, SIOR, and senior advisor Ted Schaffer of Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services, have completed the off-market sale of the Hamden Center II complex, consisting of an 80,000 s/f, class A office building and 20,000 s/f of retail space located at 2321 Whitney Ave.

The seller, Hamden Realty Associates, LP, had owned the property for 20 years and has compiled a tenant list of some of the area’s most distinguished business names. The buyer, HC2, LLC, is a Schaffer family entity which has for over four generations developed, owned and operated real estate throughout New Haven County. Brian Enright of Halloran & Sage represented the seller and Matthew Susman of Cohen & Wolf represented the buyer.

Schaffer has indicated that the sale of this property is a significant transaction due to its size, as well as its validation of the Greater New Haven market area, the quality of the buildings involved and the strength of the Hamden Center location.
