Spotlights
In 2002, CHR's executive staff members joined property management and moved into their new headquarters. The former property management office was at this location, but was a one story building with a lower lever that housed the maintenance department. The new building now includes the leasing office for Hancock Village, as well as their amenity center.
Again, Marc Levin coordinated all phases of the planning, permitting, and construction. Lowe Associates was the architect.
Condominium Conversions and Development
Chestnut Hill Realty converted and built over 2,000 units until the real estate market turned sour in the late 1980s.
Before the boom went bust in the late 80s, CHR was involved in three major condominium developments: Swan pond in Walpole, Bay View Townhouses in Portsmouth, RI, and British Landing in Wareham. CHR received a Renaissance Award for the conversion of a former railroad car barn and power station into 60 condominiums and 46 boat slips.
Since that time, Chestnut Hill Realty has continued to concentrate on purchasing underutilized buildings and redeveloping them to attain the highest and best use.
