Starting out in the construction business, who or what empowered you? In college I wasn’t sure where I saw my career heading and decided to take a chance on a summer marketing internship with a construction company. I was surprised by the diverse marketing role I was presented with–there’s a blend of print and digital media needed to support marketing efforts within the industry. Even more so, I have been empowered by the connection between marketing and sales; it’s extremely rewarding to support and strategize for project pursuits that help propel the company forward. Seeing the final building or renovated space from mobilization to completion is also very gratifying.
