Pro Con Inc continued construction of $13.8 million Brightview Arlington

Construction is continuing for Brightview Arlington, a new senior living community located on Hospital Rd. The $13.8 million project is being developed by Shelter Development of Baltimore, MD and will be operated by Brightview Senior Living. Pro Con Inc of Manchester, NH is the project architect and construction manager for the Arlington community, which will be the sixth Brightview community in the state. "The roof is complete, the windows have been installed, and installation of the dry wall is scheduled to begin in October," said the project manager for Pro Con. "With the building being weather tight, the HVAC, sprinkler and plumbing roughs are underway and the rough electrical has begun. Construction is progressing as planned." Brightview Arlington will have 90 units including 60 apartments for assisted living and 30 apartments for Alzheimer's and dementia care. The apartments, which are all under one roof, will offer the residents a variety of floor plans and care options. Screened porches off the public areas will provide residents with beautiful views of the surrounding scenery. The 4-story, 68,691 s/f senior living community will offer a social environment where housekeeping, dining, transportation, and maintenance are provided by a caring staff. Plans call for the community to have an elegant dining room, a private dining room, a café, wellness/fitness center, activities room, beauty/barber salon, library/media room and outdoor patios. The building's exterior will feature cement siding and a stone façade. Covered parking for 38 vehicles will be available beneath the building with elevator access for residents and a natural stone patio and decorative pergolas will enhance the exterior courtyard. Pro Con began site work on Brightview Arlington in November 2012 and has scheduled a winter 2014 completion date for the project. Brightview Arlington is one of several Brightview projects Pro Con has managed including Brightview North Andover, which opened in August, Brightview Danvers, which was completed in 2007 and Brightview Concord River in Billerica, Mass., which was completed in 2009. Brightview Senior Living communities include independent living, assisted living and dementia care options. Brightview is committed to creating vibrant senior living communities by providing excellent service and creating environments that are great places to live and great places to work.
