Prozinski joins Avison Young as principal and director of property management

According to Rick Kimball, Avison Young principal and managing director of the company's Boston office, leading commercial real estate industry veteran Steve Prozinski has joined the company. Prozinski, a property management and accounting specialist, joins Avison Young as a principal and director of property management services. He will manage the company's 5.4 million s/f of properties in New England and the Mid-Atlantic region, and oversee the daily operations of the region's growing property management division, which comprises 22 members. He will also work with the local brokerage team on accounting and forecasting.
Prozinski brings 24 years of experience to Avison Young in property management, accounting, corporate management and brokerage. During his career, he has represented many local and institutional clients within property management. Prozinski started his career as an accountant for local real estate firms, including Whittier Partners, in 1989. He became the controller of Meredith Grew in 1993 before moving in 1999 to The Codman Company, where he became president. In 2008, the principals of Codman sold to Newmark Knight Frank, where Prozinski served as managing principal until 2013.

Prozinski has earned several personal and industry honors during his career, including Whitehall Street/JE Roberts Company's Exceptional Performance in Property Management Award, and Whittier Partners' Financial Employee of the Year Award. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Montana College of Mineral Science and serves on the board of directors of the Boston chapter of the Business Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He is also active in his community of Ashland, MA serving on the boards of the Clocker Club, an organization that provides volunteer and financial support for high school sports programs, as well as Friends of Ashland Football and Lacrosse.

Over the past 4.5 years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 53 offices and from 300 to more than 1,300 real estate professionals across Canada and the U.S.
