RDK Engineers buys PWI Consulting Engineers

RDK Engineers, a Mass.-based, nationally-active building systems engineering company ranked as one of the top engineering firms in the U.S., has added two new offices, through their acquisition of PWI Consulting Engineers - Southeast. PWI, which will now be called RDK Engineers of N.C. (RDK Engineers NC). RDK Engineers NC's Durham and Charlotte offices have a strong focus and significant expertise in the Healthcare and Institutional marketplaces, two areas in which RDK as a company already has experience and has had growth in recent years. Clients added through the acquisition include Duke Univ.,Duke Univ. Medical Center, the Univ. of N.C., UNC Healthcare, N.C. State University, Rex Healthcare and the Carolinas HealthCare Systems. "RDK's vision to expand our service area by adding offices outside of the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions in strategic markets made PWI Southeast a perfect fit for us," said RDK principal Chris Cummings. "The addition of RDK Engineers NC to the RDK Engineers organization provides a strong technical and client service platform for our business, staff and clients to grow in the North Carolina region and beyond, in the Healthcare and Institutional markets as well as in the other sectors we serve. We look forward to not only maintaining, but increasing our level of service and personal attention to both our existing and our new clients, while continuing to build upon our successes and healthy rate of growth."
