Boston, MA REFA’s DEI Committee hosted its first panel on June 18^th, Capital Conversations: Navigating Wealth Creation, Equity, and Real Estate Investment at Nutter, 155 Seaport Blvd. The session showcased speakers: Onay Payne, senior managing director at Manulife Investment Management; and Ralph Parent, managing partner at Parent + Diamond, and moderated by our DEI Tri-Chair and board of director, Caroline Suarez, associate, Manulife Investment Management. The program explored the role of real estate investment in the pivotal link between access to capital and wealth creation. As well as reviewed the importance of forging partnerships to bring investment opportunities to communities of color.
