The 2011 Real Estate Finance Association Gala was held on September 22nd at the Great River Country Club in Milford. Over 170 members and guests attended this event which consisted of networking, hors d'ouevres and a live presentation by comedian John Heffron who is a past winner of the second season of Last Comic Standing.

The REFA Golf Outing, held in June 2011, donated the proceeds to two local charities: Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County and Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity. A thank you note from both of these charities has been received, stating that with REFA's donation they were able to help build a home for a family in the community.
