Reed of Stebbins Commercial sells Amoskeag Locomotive Mill bldg.

Michael Reed, president of Stebbins Commercial Properties, Inc. and Scott Forrester of Coldwell Banker Commercial TR brokered the 16,500 s/f sale of 145 Hollis St. from One Dow Ct, Inc. to Manchester Community Health Center. According to the registry of deeds the sale price was $2.41 million. 145 Hollis St. was home to the former Dunn Furniture business for many years. Ralph Sidore, property manager of One Dow Court, Inc. recently converted the Amoskeag Locomotive Mill building to office condominiums to accommodate The Manchester Community Health Center's needs. This adaptive reuse is another example of Manchester's mill owners finding a way to incorporate the city's historical buildings with the growing needs of the community. "The property was everything we were looking for. It offered us a convenient downtown location on the bus route with parking and the opportunity to own a new custom designed medical facility. Our patients and staff are very pleased with the space" said Ed George, president/CEO of MCHC. The project was completed in August.
