REFA holds annual golf outing at Woodbridge Country Club

July 02, 2008 - Connecticut
The 9th Annual REFA Golf Outing had a change of venue for 2008, but achieved the same successful outing that they have had for the last 9 years. This year's outing was held at the beautiful Woodbridge County Club. One hundred and thirty golfers attended the outing, and another ten members came to network at dinnertime. The weather proved to be nothing less than spectacular and a great time was had by all.

As in the past, proceeds from the golf outings have been donated to worthwhile causes and this year was no different.
The Fairfield/Westchester Chapter of REFA donated to Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County (Habitat CFC). Habitat CFC is a Christian housing ministry that seeks to build community and improve lives by partnering with low income families and community volunteers to build simple, decent, affordable, safe and efficient homes. Habitat CFC welcomes people, regardless of faith, to build with them in partnership. The ultimate goal is to eliminate substandard housing in lower Fairfield County.
The Hartford Chapter of REFA donated to The Ned Heberger Student Fund. This fund was created to recognize the many contributions of Ned Heberger to the Connecticut real estate community over the past 50 years. Proceeds from the fund will be used to offer scholarships and other valuable services to qualified students affiliated with the UConn Real Estate Center in honor of Heberger.
Approximately $3,000 will be sent to these two charities.
