REFA tours The Waypointe District in Norwalk on May 17

Norwalk, CT The Waypointe District is made up of six primarily mixed-use developments. The Waypointe, built in 2015 with 465 units and 60,000 s/f of retail, boasts an unparalleled amenity packaging including shuttle to the train station, 24/7 fitness center, rooftop terraces, movie screening rooms, game rooms and an outdoor heated pool with grilling areas. The retail is 60% occupied and anchored by Chase Bank, Barcelona Wine Bar, Sedona Taphouse, Colony Grill, Salons by JC, Endurance House and Pinot’s Palette. Bobby Q’s, a barbecue restaurant formerly in Westport, is currently under construction and expected to open in the Tea House Lofts building in May 2017. Quincy Lofts was completed in 2016, with 69 luxury units and is 100% leased. The Berkeley at Waypointe, is currently in lease-up with 129 residential units, 4,500 s/f of restaurant space along West Avenue and another 6,600 s/f of first floor medical/office space. Construction will be complete in May 2017. With the first four buildings completed, the next two developments are part of The Pinnacle at Waypointe and will break ground in fall 2017.  Theses phases include street level retail with an IPic move theater with restaurant, Kings luxury lanes bowling and a 30,000 s/f commercial fitness space, all below 300 apartments. The Pinnacle will be similar in size to The Waypointe and continues the brick pedestrian street for a second city block, bridging the Waypointe District Stepping Stones Museum and the Lockwood Mansions Park.
