Ryder of Cummings Props. signs ATN to 9,000 s/f at 600 Cummings Center

Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. (ATN) recently opened the doors to its new 9,000 s/f corporate headquarters at 600 Cummings Center. ATN, among FORTUNE magazine's list of 100 Fastest-Growing Companies, The Boston Globe 100 "Top Businesses in Massachusetts" (2007-2009), and Forbes magazine's "Most Trustworthy Companies," provides telecommunications services to under-served markets in North America and the Caribbean. Cummings Properties recently completed extensive improvements to the 65,000 s/f building known as 600 Cummings Center, including the addition of several dormers, accentuating the building's 1940s architecture and making it one of the North Shore's most admired corporate addresses. Cummings Center leasing officer, David Ryder, worked directly with ATN's CFO, Justin Benincasa, and president and CEO, Michael Prior, on the deal. "We were looking for unique space... something distinguished, yet distinguishable from your average suburban office setting," saidBenincasa. "When David walked us through 600 Cummings Center, we immediately knew it would be a great match," he said. Located at the edge of Upper Shoe Pond, ATN's new quarters feature custom millwork, etched glass walls, mahogany floors, vaulted ceilings and conference rooms. Skylights and oversized windows provide water views and natural light, accented by pendent and sconce fixtures. An impressive glass entry provides the finishing touch for a feel and finish consistent with a financial district address amid the natural beauty that is distinctively North Shore. Cummings Center is home to Beverly's first and only Energy Star building and more than 500 diverse businesses, including numerous corporate headquarters, software developers, biotechnology and pharmaceutical research firms, high-tech start-ups, law practices, and a thriving medical and healthcare community. Joined by fitness centers, full-service banks, children's, adult and canine daycare, six restaurants, and onsite MBTA and CATA bus service, Cummings Center offers an attractive pond-side setting with unmatched amenities. Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc., provides telecommunications services to rural, niche and other under-served markets and geographies in the United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Through their operating subsidiaries, they provide both wireless and wireline connectivity to residential and business customers, including a range of mobile wireless solutions, local exchange services and broadband internet services and are the owner and operator of terrestrial and submarine fiber optic transport systems.
