Scaralia of Re/Max 1st Choice chosen RIAR Realtor of the Year

The Rhode Island Association of Realtors (RIAR) has announced that Robert Scaralia of Re/Max 1st Choice in Cranston was chosen by his peers as the 2010 Rhode Island Realtor of the Year. The award recognizes one of more than 4,200 Realtors throughout R.I. for their dedication to the Realtor organization and their local communities. The statewide winner is chosen from the winners of five regional Realtor of the Year awards.
Scaralia who is a second generation Realtor, was the 2001 president of the Greater Providence Board of Realtors (GPBOR), where he also served as secretary, treasurer and vice president. He was the 2004 president of the State-Wide Multiple Listing Service and the 2008 president of the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. He has been a member of numerous committees for the national, state and local boards of Realtors. Scaralia has twice been elected Realtor of the Year by the GPBOR and is a Lear award recipient for his service to GPBOR. He is a state-certified real estate instructor.
Other candidates for the RI Realtor of the Year award included Carol Hale of Nunes Realty in Newport, recipient of the Newport County Board of Realtors 2010 Realtor of the Year award; Robert Jeffrey of Paragon Properties LLC in Woonsocket, the Northern RI Board of Realtors 2010 Realtor of the Year award winner; Peter Spinella, the recipient of the Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors 2010 Realtor of the Year Award; and Dean de Tonnancourt of Keller Williams in Cranston, winner of the Kent Washington Association of Realtors 2010 Realtor of the Year award.
The RI Association of Realtors is comprised of 4,200 Realtors and is one of more than 1800 local boards and associations that comprise the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
