Schmidt named principal and managing director at Avison Young

Boston, MA According to Avison Young, Patrick Schmidt has been named principal and managing director, U.S. – studio, project and construction management. In this role, he will focus on strengthening integration between the firm’s project management and brokerage teams, enhancing service delivery and expanding the firm’s capabilities to serve clients in more markets.

As the lead of U.S. project and construction management services, Schmidt will advance Avison Young’s integrated, consultative real estate strategy by delivering optimized solutions across all major sectors.

He will lead U.S. growth through recruitment and business development, while strengthening internal talent to expand project management as a core component of the firm’s unified real estate offering.

Schmidt succeeds Stephen Silverstein, who previously held the role of Managing Director, U.S. – Studio, Project and Construction Management, and now steps into the role of Principal and Managing Director, Global Business Development & Enterprise Accounts, Project Management & Consulting. Silverstein joined the firm in 2022, and will now spearhead the expansion of global client partnerships and drive enterprise-level growth strategies across key markets. Avison Young continues to strengthen its project and construction management platform, enhancing its leadership bench, and positioning itself for sustained growth across the U.S. and across the globe.

Schmidt, based in Boston, Massachusetts, brings 33 years of industry experience and has been with Avison Young since 2015. He most recently served as Principal & Managing Director, Eastern Regional Leader of Project & Construction Management Services, driving remarkable growth by creating a diverse team to serve clients across an array of sectors.
