Sealant, Waterproofing & Restoration Institute elects 2009 board of directors

Sealant, Waterproofing & Restoration Institute (SWR Institute) held its election of the 2009-2010 board of directors to serve during the association's 33rd anniversary year. Elected president for 2009-2010 is Frank Halsey, Mid-Continental Restoration Company, Inc. in Fort Scott, KS. Serving with Halsey are Jed Daniel, Seager Waterproofing, Inc. in Greensboro, NC, elected as president-elect and Dan Cain, The George D. Alan Company, Irving, TX, elected as secretary/treasurer and immediate past president Eric Johnson, Allied Waterproofing, Inc., Milwaukee, WI. These officers make up the executive committee that will lead this year's SWR Institute board of directors. The directors elected are Steven Bentz, Facility Engineering Associates (FEA), Fairfax, VA; Robert Forrer, Spray-O-Bond Company, Milwaukee, WI; David Gladney, American Restoration, Inc., Wylie, TX; Dave Kimball, Dow Corning Corporation, Montgomery, TX; Mackey Welch, One State Contractors, Inc., Buda, TX. The new directors join current directors already serving, David Boyer, PROSOCO, Inc., Lawrence, KS; Jim Grady, Tri-State High Rise Services, Poughkeepsie, NY; Mark Howell, Structural Preservation Systems, LLC, Elkridge, MD; Ron Pilla, Valcourt Exterior Building Services, LLC, Elizabeth, NJ; Peter Vorhees, Everest Waterproofing & Restoration, Inc., San Francisco, CA. SWR Institute is an international trade association that represents the commercial sealant, waterproofing and restoration construction industry. With over 260 member companies, SWR Institute's membership represents some of the most experienced and qualified contractors, manufacturers and design professionals in the industry.
