Sean and Steve McDonald named president and CEO at Erland Construction

Burlington, MA Erland Construction has made a leadership transition as Sean McDonald steps into the role of president, with Steve McDonald advancing to chief executive officer. This transition represents a new chapter for the employee-owned construction management firm, continuing its longstanding commitment to quality, integrity, and client service across New England since 1977.

Sean, a shareholder and current treasurer on Erland’s board of directors, joined Erland in 2017 and has spent the past six years moving through diverse roles to gain comprehensive industry experience. His collaborative approach, proven leadership skills, and dedication to operational excellence have prepared him well for his new position as president. Sean’s work has included a key role in the transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), underscoring Erland’s commitment to team investment and client satisfaction.

In his new role as president, Sean will lead Erland’s growth and operational strategies, partnering closely with clients and teams to ensure seamless project execution. He will continue to champion Erland’s core values and foster strong, impactful relationships throughout the industry.
