Boston, MA Shawmut Design and Construction, a leading $1.6 billion national construction management firm, participated in its 17th consecutive Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), raising nearly $65,000 and counting to build on its lifetime fundraising total of over $2 million for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Team Shawmut—which includes CEO Les Hiscoe along with Shawmut employee-owners, friends, and family—rode alongside over 6,000 other participants to increase awareness and raise funds for cancer research and patient care. During the two-day bike-a-thon Aug. 3-4 in Massachusetts, cyclists covered routes ranging from 25 to 211 miles, stretching from metro Boston to the tip of Cape Cod. The team’s donor page will remain active until October.

“Everyone has someone they love whose life has been affected by cancer. I am enormously proud that Team Shawmut continues to participate in this important event and raise funds to help provide compassionate care, innovative research, and ultimately work to eradicate this disease,” said CEO Les Hiscoe, who rode in his 13th event.

Shawmut was also pleased to sponsor the official 2024 PMC socks, which were given to each participating rider.
