SIOR New England Chapter’s Service Day program earns award

Boston, MA The 2017 SIOR Chapter Achievement Awards recognize the chapters who have demonstrated excellence in advancing the SIOR mission within their own communities in 2017.

The SIOR New England Chapter is recognized for Excellence in Community Outreach for giving back to the community with its SIOR Service Day Program.

• Partnered with Pease Greeters at Pease Air Force Base to welcome home 170 troops returning from Afghanistan;

• Donated $300 in pizza and $1,400 to the organization;

• Spent time conversing one-on-one with the troops.

 

The SIOR Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter is recognized for Excellence in Chapter Recruitment for most new members in net numbers:

•Grew by net 6 members (4.72% net growth).

The SIOR Pittsburgh, Western Pennsylvania, Northern West Virginia Chapter is recognized for Excellence in Chapter Recruitment for highest percentage net increase in new members:

• Grew by net 14.29% (5 net members).

 

The SIOR St. Louis Chapter is recognized for Excellence in Chapter Programming for the best education and networking program for its 33rd Metro Market Forecast.

• Attended by 700 commercial real estate professionals and industry affiliates;

• Highlighted by St. Louis Business Journal in a multi-page insert prior to the event;

• Generated $106,100 in total revenue.

 

 The SIOR Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Northwest Florida Chapter is recognized for Excellence in Chapter Programming for the best and most creative new program for its Birmingham Dinner.

• Provided an intimate setting for networking and recruitment between members, prospective members, and sponsors;

• Drew local prospects and inactive members and increased participation in a geographically widespread chapter;

• Increased chapter membership since 2017 by seven new members and one applicant.

 

The SIOR Upstate New York Chapter is recognized for Excellence in Chapter Participation for demonstrating overall chapter commitment to the organization by having the most significant percentage of its active membership participate in SIOR through:

• Service as global and chapter officers and committee members;

•Completed Member-to-Member Transactions;

• Contributions to the MySIOR community discussions;

• Attendance at SIOR World Conferences;

• Donations to the SIOR Foundation
