Debby Smith of Residential Properties Ltd. has been installed as president of the Northern RI Board of Realtors. The ceremony took place at the board's meeting on October 18 at the Wannamoisett Country Club. Her term officially began on November 1.
For the past four years, Smith has been a member of the board of directors for the Northern Rhode Island Board of Realtors (NIBR). In this time she served on the Grievance, Program, Personnel and RPAC (Realtors Political Action) Committees. She has also been the secretary, vice president and was recently the president-elect.
Her mission as president is to always act with "integrity, compassion, and a desire to serve others," and aims to stay true to her core values. She strives to provide for the needs of each member and affiliate of the Board. "With our new board office and classroom space, we plan to work to provide educational forums and real estate continuing education classes that are timely and enlightening." During her term, she aims to support "value oriented services to all" and works "to keep programs affordable."
Smith has worked in real estate for the past eleven years, earning the Residential Properties Ltd. Best Relocation Agent and Million Dollar Award in the process. She is licensed in both Mass. and R.I.
