Sousa named COO and head of capital at Marcus Partners

Boston, MA According to Marcus Partners, Patrick Sousa has been named the firm’s chief operating officer and head of capital. Sousa will oversee the firm’s day-to-day business operations, while also leading capital raising and limited partner relationships for the firm’s investment vehicles with founder and CEO Paul Marcus.

Sousa will play a lead role alongside Paul Marcus in setting firm-wide vision and will also serve as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Prior to his current role, Sousa led some of the firm’s most significant development projects and has played a leadership role in the firm’s development activities.

“Pat brings deep industry knowledge and expertise to this role as he has demonstrated in our recent development projects and acquisitions,” said Marcus. “The company is experiencing a surge in growth and activity and I’m looking forward to partnering with him as we serve our investors’ interests and advance Marcus Partners activities across our target real estate asset classes and markets.”

Sousa serves on the Board of Directors at NAIOP Massachusetts and is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). He received a B.S. in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
