Spectrum Tech. provides security system at 225 Franklin St., Boston

Spectrum Integrated Technologies, the security and telecom division of J. & M. Brown Co. Inc., has completed the design and installation of a fully integrated visitor entry security system at 225 Franklin St. The system, designed specifically for high-rise applications by Spectrum, ties the facility's security sub-systems, including electronic turnstiles, card access, elevator control, 20 intercom, and digital CCTV into the building's overall security management system. Visitor's gain entry to elevators and destination points within the building via a touch-screen kiosk in the lobby, which is designed with a barcode scanner and reader. Spectrum's director of operations Terry Kilduff and principal Steve Feldman managed project planning, design, integration and implementation to meet Blackstone Properties' requirements for entry security. Spectrum also provided system testing prior to taking the security system online. Security system companies integral to the project included AMAG, Pelco, Building Engines, and Interactive Touchscreen Solutions (ITS). Spectrum Integrated Technologies has also recently completed high-rise electronic turnstile security systems for 100 High St., One Post Office Sq. and 1 Memorial Dr. in Cambridge, all for property owner Blackstone Properties.
